As part of the 2025 social responsibility activities of the Faculty of Theology at Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University, a seminar for women titled “Sadaqah and Its Benefits” was held on December 18, 2025. The event was organized by Jamila Joroeva, a staff member of the Faculty of Theology at KTUM, together with female students of the faculty.
During the seminar, master’s student Moldoayım Isakova delivered a presentation on the topic “Sadaqah and Its Benefits.” At the end of the seminar, participants’ questions related to sadaqah were answered.
It was emphasized during the seminar that sadaqah is a voluntary act of goodness performed for the sake of seeking the pleasure of Almighty Allah. It was explained that sadaqah is not limited to material wealth; kind words, forgiveness, assistance, and all forms of beneficial behavior are also considered sadaqah. Thus, through examples, it was highlighted that sadaqah has both material and spiritual dimensions.
The following verse from the Holy Qur’an was also cited:
“The example of those who spend their wealth in the way of Allah is like a grain which grows seven ears; in every ear there are a hundred grains. Allah multiplies for whom He wills. And Allah is All-Encompassing, All-Knowing” (Al-Baqarah, 2:261),
emphasizing that the reward of sadaqah does not decrease, but rather increases manifold.
At the end of the seminar, refreshments were offered to the participants. Approximately 60 women attended the seminar and followed it with great interest. Officials stated that this program would continue every Thursday at the same time.
