On Thursday, December 18, 2025, at 14:00, the International Arabic Language Day was celebrated at the Faculty of Theology of Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University through a specially organized program. The event attracted strong interest from both academics and students, highlighting the religious, academic, and cultural significance of the Arabic language.
In his speech, the Dean of the Faculty of Theology, Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Akyüz, emphasized that Arabic is the primary language of Islamic sciences, particularly the Qur’an, Hadith, and Fiqh. He stressed that learning Arabic is an indispensable requirement for theological education.
Within the scope of the program, the historical, academic, and cultural aspects of the Arabic language were addressed through various speeches, poetry recitations, and activities. Poems reflecting the history of the Arabic language were read, and presentations were delivered on the importance of Arabic across different platforms. The program also included competitions, educational games, and the performance of religious hymns.
Arstanbek Saginbay Uulu, a member of the administrative staff of the Faculty of Theology, delivered an informative presentation emphasizing the importance of the Arabic language and its study. At the end of the program, Abdulbasit Kraij, the coordinator of the Arabic Language Day Program, expressed his gratitude to the students who actively contributed to the organization of the event and presented them with various gifts.
