In the seminar titled “Family in Islam,” information was provided on the importance of the family, Islam’s perspective on the family institution, and the principles of establishing a happy family life. It was emphasized that the family is a small social unit composed of spouses and children, based on natural and inherent bonds, and that it is regarded as a center of culture and upbringing.
In the seminar “Islam and Morality,” the lexical and terminological meanings of the concepts “akhlaq” and “khuluq” were explained, and it was highlighted that morality is an Islamic concept that gained prominence with the revelation of the Qur’an and the granting of prophethood to Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). It was also explained that individuals bear moral responsibilities toward their family, homeland and people, society, and themselves.
At the end of the seminar, refreshments were offered to the participants. Approximately 60–70 women attended the event and followed it with great interest. Officials stated that these seminars would continue every Thursday at the same time.
