Within the framework of the “KTMU Village and School Visits” Social Responsibility Project carried out by Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University, the expert team established for this initiative continues its fieldwork in various regions of Kyrgyzstan during the Spring 2026 term. The project aims to develop solutions to challenges encountered in rural life, particularly in education, human and animal health, and social life, while providing on-site support to local communities. The team consists of healthcare professionals, academicians, pedagogues, psychologists, and veterinary doctors.
Having previously conducted comprehensive field visits in numerous villages, the team reached schools and rural settlements in different parts of the country as part of its new route program. During the two-day program led by Prof. Dr. Kemal Polat, the KTMU Sustainable Development Commission visited Canış Rusenbekov Secondary School in Keneş village, Üseyin Adikov Secondary School in Budenovka village, İşenaalı Arabayev Secondary School in Dmitrievka village, Şaykul Rahmanov Secondary School in Nevruz village, A. Sulaimanov Secondary School in Almaluu village, Murzaliyev Arstanbek Secondary School in Issyk-Ata district, and Osmonkul Bölöbalaev Secondary School in Karatay Bulak village, meeting with students, teachers, and local residents.
Guidance Support for Students on Goal Setting and Future Planning
Pedagogues and academics in the field of education organized informative sessions for students. The sessions focused on goal setting, study discipline, motivation in education, exam preparation processes, career orientation, and personal development. Practical advice was shared to support students in planning their future.
Psychological Support Meetings Addressed Student Development and School Challenges
Psychologists delivered seminars on students’ self-confidence development, peer relationships, stress management, and communication skills. Meetings with teachers also addressed behavioral issues encountered in school environments, students’ psychosocial needs, and possible solutions.
Child Health and Preventive Healthcare Awareness Highlighted
Healthcare professionals provided information to students and local residents on personal hygiene, healthy nutrition, prevention of infectious diseases, first aid awareness, and general health issues. Particular emphasis was placed on child health and preventive healthcare services.
Agricultural Guidance from the Faculty of Agriculture to Enhance Rural Production
Academicians from the Faculty of Agriculture met with villagers to provide guidance on efficient farming practices, soil fertility, plant disease management, effective use of water resources, and sustainable production methods. Recommendations were shared to help increase regional agricultural productivity.
On-site Support and Training from Veterinarians for Livestock Farmers
Veterinarians offered information on the care of large and small livestock, preventive vaccination, early diagnosis of animal diseases, and hygiene conditions. Questions from families engaged in animal husbandry were addressed, and practical recommendations were provided.
Social Solidarity and Values Education from the Faculty of Theology
Academicians from the Faculty of Theology conducted discussion sessions on family communication, social solidarity, moral values, and the social development of youth, emphasizing the importance of values that strengthen community cohesion.
Exchange of Experience with Teachers
During meetings with teachers, classroom practices, methods to improve students’ academic performance, and current challenges in education were discussed. Within the framework of mutual exchange of ideas, teachers’ field experiences were listened to, and solution-oriented recommendations were developed.
