Modeling and Simulation Laboratory Established

At Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University, within the Faculty of Engineering, Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, the Modeling and Simulation Laboratory has been officially established in the 2025–2026 academic year.

Modeling and simulation techniques, which constitute a fundamental component of modern engineering education, play a critical role in the analysis, design, and optimization of complex systems. The newly established laboratory aims to reinforce students’ theoretical knowledge through practical applications and to enable them to effectively use contemporary engineering tools.

In the laboratory, modeling and simulation studies will be conducted in various areas, including electrical circuit analysis, control systems, signal processing, power systems, and renewable energy applications. Students will have the opportunity to investigate the behavior of real-world systems in a virtual environment using engineering software, particularly MATLAB/Simulink.

The laboratory will also provide infrastructure to support scientific research at both undergraduate and graduate levels, thereby contributing to the academic productivity of the department. Furthermore, it is expected to enhance students’ problem-solving skills, strengthen their engineering intuition, and improve their interdisciplinary competencies.

Officials from the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering emphasized that the establishment of the laboratory will further strengthen the practice-oriented approach in education and better prepare students for their professional careers after graduation.
